Where are we manufactured?
Here at The Gel Obsession, we pride ourselves on striving for only the best for our customers - this includes striving for excellence in every product we create, never compromising on safety, performance or quality.
Where are our products made?
Our products are created in collaboration with manufacturers based in both Europe and China. Each of our collaborative parters are established within their respective fields and bring a breadth of experience, knowledge, and high-end products to the nail industry. Our relationships with our manufacturers have developed over the years and we work closely with their R&D departments to create exactly what we want from products - only the absolute best.
Once our formulas are developed, we pride ourselves on our testing and inspection procedures. The formulas are bottle in the North West of England after an extensive period of testing - both scientifically and in the real-world. Formulas are only ever brought to the market after a prolonged period and if refinement is needed, we go back to the scientific drawing board until we get it just right.
Compliance & Standards
Our manufacturers are audited yearly and inspected by internationally recognised leaders in product testing, inspection and certification. The role of such organisations is to ensure product safety, inspect and assess ingredients, and to ensure that manufacturing facilities adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within ISO 22716 (the regulatory standard). GMP ensures that facilities meet a world-recognised standard.
To comply with UK cosmetic regulations, each product must comply with UK and EU Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009. Each individual cosmetic product is registered on the UK government's Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP) which informs the Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) of new products. To ensure compliance, each product must hold a Product Information File which includes Cosmetic Safety Reports, details of manufacturers, compliance statements (including proof of non-animal testing) and other legal requirements.
What does all this mean? Simply put - it means that our products are assessed by third party assessors which gives our customers the confidence that our products meet internationally recognised standards.
