Our head of education, Helen, answers some burning education questions!
Q) Why have you launched face-to-face learning?
Our online academy launched earlier this year and has been going from strength to strength. A couple of the members of our team (ambassadors) have recently qualified as educators so we thought it was the perfect time to launch in to face-to-face learning, as well as providing our online courses.
Q) How are the face-to-face courses different to online?
The main difference between the courses is simply - the face-to-face learning provides a live educator who is on hand to answer questions there and then. The online courses provided extensive support, but inevitably, because there isn't an educator stood in-front of you, there will be a delay in some questions answered. For a learner who learns best getting hands-on, face-to-face learning would be highly beneficial to you. The information and the course kits provided are completely the same, as is the manual - the only real difference is one has an educator in person, whilst the other has an educator at the end of the phone.
Q) Are the courses accredited?
Yes - both online and in-person courses are both accredited with reputable companies. This means as soon as you enroll, you can gain trainee-insurance and get practising. Upon course completion, you can become insured as fully qualified and start the next step on your journey.
Q) Who are the educators?
We currently have three educators, with others in the pipeline. All educators work closely with The Gel Obsession and have been taught by us as well - we have complete faith in them to provide an inclusive learning experience which best prepares you for life in the nail tech world.
